Storms cause £30,000 damage to Armadale car business

An Armadale car salesman saw £30,000 of his stock crushed after 100mph winds blew over a tree and a wall, reported the West Lothian Courier.

Kevin Turner, from Turner Motor Co, was apparently shocked when he saw that 10 of his used cars were complete write-offs.

But the businessman's ordeal wasn't the only storm destruction in the town - the A801 at Armadale was closed for more than four hours after a lorry overturned.
